Cook Time: 20 to 25 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients
For the wings:
3 pounds chicken wings, cut into drumettes and flappers
1tablespoon kosher salt
1teaspoon ground black pepper
1teaspoon garlic powder
1teaspoon paprika
Vegetable oil for the grill grate
For the Buffalo sauce:
6 tablespoons butter
1/3 cup hot sauce (your favorite brand)
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions
Mix spices together, then toss the spice blend in a bowl with the wings to coat them. Preheat your built-in grill to medium heat, around 350 degrees. Use the vegetable oil to lightly coat the grate in order to prevent the wings from sticking. Place the wings on the grill, close enough that they're almost touching to keep them moist. Flip the wings every five minutes for a total cooking time of 20 minutes.
While the wings cook, put the butter, hot sauce, honey and apple cider vinegar in a small pot and cook over low heat while whisking to combine. Then, remove the sauce from the heat and pour into a large clean bowl.
Using tongs, take the cooked wings off the grill and place them in the bowl with the sauce. Lightly toss them in the sauce, then put the wings back on the grill for an additional one to two minutes per side. Remove the chicken from the grill and toss the wings in the remaining sauce.
Serve your Buffalo-style wings with celery sticks and blue cheese, ranch or other dipping sauce.
